CALGARY - The Calgary Flames wont make the NHL playoffs this season, but that sure hasnt deterred their effort. Karri Ramo had 33 saves in regulation plus three more in the shootout and red-hot Mike Cammalleri scored the winning goal as the Flames won 2-1 over the San Jose Sharks on Monday. Scoreless after two shots each, Cammalleri moved in from off the right wing and went short side on Alex Stalock, setting off a roar from the Scotiabank Saddledome crowd announced at 19,289. Cammalleri entered the night tied with Jarome Iginla for the most goals since the trade deadline (9) and tied with Tyler Seguin for the most points over that same period (15). It then came down to Karri Ramo, who thwarted James Sheppard to clinch it. That coming on the heels of stops against Patrick Marleau and Joe Pavelski. "We played the total team game. I know that Karri Ramo played well, brought us some big saves at the right time, but to pick one player of the game tonight, we could have a long list. I felt that it was a real solid team effort," said Flames coach Bob Hartley. Joe Colborne scored in regulation for Calgary (30-35-7). The Flames have won 10 of their last 13 on home ice. "Lets play well at home, lets get a swagger in this building," said Hartley. "I think the fans are unbelievable, theyve been behind us since the start of the season. The way were playing right now is maybe a small way to say thank you for all our great support." It was also Calgarys league-leading 43rd one-goal game. Thats two away from the club record of 45 set in 2005-06. "Its a tough test whenever San Jose comes in and the fact that we were able to match them and pull one out in the shootout is pretty special," said Colborne. "We hope to be battling them for a divisional or a conference lead sooner rather than later so its a huge experience for us." Sheppard scored in regulation for San Jose (46-18-9). Its his second goal in as many games for Sheppard, matching his output from the seasons first 56 games. Despite having their four-game road winning streak come to an end, the point was enough for the Sharks to clinch a playoff spot for the 10th consecutive season. "It was probably an inevitability but there is satisfaction in clinching," said Sharks coach Todd McLellan. "That was one of the goals that we set out to do and theyve accomplished that. It wouldve been nice to get the two points, obviously were in a heck of a race for other things so thats a little bit disappointing, but we have to move on." The Sharks lead atop the Pacific Division increases to two points over Anaheim, but the Ducks hold two games in hand. "We were going to clinch no matter what. It was just a matter of time," said Sharks captain Joe Thornton. "Weve just got to continue to get points. It wouldve been nice to get two but well take the one." San Jose wraps up its short two-game road trip in Edmonton on Tuesday night. After being outplayed much of the first period, Calgary had a much better second. Early on, Stalock had to be sharp, throwing up his blocker to deny Sean Monahan from the slot and stopping Kris Russell from in close after he was set up neatly by Kenny Agostino. The Flames kept up the pressure and it eventually paid off on Colbornes ninth goal at 18:00, the result of a heady play by rookie defenceman Tyler Wotherspoon. Playing his 10th NHL game, the 21-year-old faked a shot and sent a perfect cross-ice pass to Colborne, alone at the side of the net, who buried it over Stalock as he desperately slid across. "Thats an all-star play right there," said Colborne, who has five goals in the past 11 games. "Not too many guys can fake a shot, head up, and find me back door — flat pass through the seam. That was an all-world play." After missing six weeks with a knee injury, Ramos first two starts since his return have been excellent. Saturday night he stopped 24-of-25 in the Flames 8-1 win in Edmonton. One area he had struggled in were shootouts going 0-3 and stopping just 6 of 14 shots coming into Mondays game. "Its a tough situation. Its something that I have to better at, I need to make more saves," said Ramo. "We took a look at the shootouts when I had a little bit of time off so we decided to change some things and work on that and today it worked and that was a good thing, it gives you confidence." Ramo improves to 13-10-4. Stalock had 26 saves in regulation. He hasnt lost in regulation in his last six starts (4-0-2) and is 11-4-2 on the year. "A point in any game in this league is good, especially on the road. Two points were right there. It wouldve been huge, obviously, for the race for the Pacific," Stalock said. "Obviously our goal was to make the playoffs but everybody in this room knew that we should make the playoffs. Its an honour to make the playoffs. Not everyone can. Now the last nine are about positioning." Notes: San Jose D Brad Stuart (upper body) returned after missing 13 games...San Jose owns the fourth longest playoff streak in professional sports (NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB). They trail Detroit Red Wings (22), San Antonio Spurs (16) and Denver Nuggets (10). BRUINS STORM BACK TO TAKE GAME TWO The Boston Bruins rallied from a 3-1 deficit, scoring four unanswered goals, to win Game Two, 5-3 over the Montreal Canadiens. Cheap Bills Jerseys China . NORRIS COLE (Heat): Its funny, you watch a guy play and now really produce and it just jumps off the page at you - why? You put a young player with potential in a winning environment where there is veteran leadership, outstanding coaching and management and a way that things are done and its a wonderful environment for growth, improvement in a climate of constant accountability and expectation of achievement/production. Authentic Bills Jerseys . In a series of tweets, it is explained by the Department of Player Safety that Niederreiter makes full body contact with Burrows and although there is head contact, he does not "pick" the head in the course of making the hit.ENGLEWOOD, Colo. - Brandon McManus is like many young kickers who stumble in the NFL before finding a foothold. What separates him from most is that hes playing for a team on a Super Bowl-or-bust mission. So, clanking a 33-yard field goal attempt off the right upright like he did in Denvers 39-36 squeaker over Miami on Sunday might just cost him.The Broncos (8-3) are bringing in veterans Jay Feely and Connor Barth for tryouts Tuesday. Were a performance-based business and regardless of what your job description is youre expected to perform, coach John Fox said Monday. I dont think hes the worst kicker in the league by any stretch.Actually, McManus 69.2 per cent conversion rate (9-of-13) this season is dead last among kickers who still have a job in the NFL.I dont know that there are a whole lot of kickers that have made every kick this season, Fox said. Whether you are a rookie or a 12-year veteran, you are still expected to perform. That doesnt matter what position.McManus miss came at the end of Denvers seven-minute drive to open the second half after Peyton Manning tripped on third-and-1 from the Miami 7 for a sack.On the sideline, cameras caught guard Manny Ramirez ripping his helmet off and hollering as receiver Demaryius Thomas slammed his helmet to the ground.I cant really say what I was thinking, Fox said before adding: Its no different than when I watch somebody fumble the ball or watch us miss a tackle or watch us not get the ball out on a tight pass play. I think those are everybodys emotions as you play a football game whether its fans, teammates or coaching staff. You are trying to win; youre competitive. You are probably disappointed you didnt get seven, let alone drive all that way and not get any points, Fox said. I can understand some frustration. The Broncos decided to keep McManus in October following Matt Praters four-game suspension for violating the leagues drug policy by drinking alcohol. Prater subsequently signed with Detroit, where hes made 12 of 16 field goal attempts.Feely, 38, is a 13-year veteran whos kicked for five teams. He was beaten out by Chandler Catanzzaro for Arizonas kicking job last summer, ending his four-year stint with the Cardinals.ddddddddddddHes also played for the Falcons, Giants, Dolphins and Jets and has made 82.7 per cent of his kicks in his career.Barth, 28, is a five-year veteran whos made 84.2 per cent of his career field goal tries but hasnt played since 2012. He was the most accurate kicker in Buccaneers history but missed all of last season after tearing the Achilles tendon in his right foot during a charity basketball game. He was replaced this year by rookie Patrick Murray. If the Broncos sign Feely or Barth, they might still keep McManus for kickoff duty — his 48 touchbacks rank second in the league — although that could prove difficult given all of their injuries.Tight end Julius Thomas (ankle) and running backs Ronnie Hillman (foot) and Montee Ball (groin) sat out Sunday, when three defensive players were injured. Cornerbacks Aqib Talib (hamstring) and Kayvon Webster (dislocated right shoulder) went out along with linebacker Brandon Marshall (concussion). The Broncos finished Sundays game with safety/special teams stud Omar Bolden at cornerback. He had a pair of tackles and averaged 33.3 yards on three kickoff returns. He does everything, cornerback Chris Harris Jr. said.Marshall, the Broncos leading tackler, must clear concussion protocol this week in order to play at Kansas City (7-4) Sunday night.Im hoping for Brandon to be healthy, because we definitely need him, Harris said. This game is going to be a lot of base, so we expect them to try to come out and run the ball. So were going to need all our linebackers this game. Its pivotal this week.Notes: LB Danny Trevathan (broken left knee) returns to practice this week to begin preparations for his return to action Dec. 14 against the Chargers ... The Dolphins had three fumbles on one drive Sunday but recovered all of them. Were still waiting for the ball to bounce right, Fox said.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow AP Pro Football Writer Arnie Melendrez Stapleton on Twitter: http://twitter.com/arniestapleton Cheap Buffalo Sabres Gear Wholesale Calgary Flames Jerseys Cheap Adidas Colorado Avalanche Jerseys Montreal Canadiens Outlet Store Wholesale New Jersey Devils Jerseys Adidas Arizona Coyotes Jerseys Cheap Adidas Boston Bruins Jerseys Cheap Adidas Carolina Hurricanes Jerseys Chicago Blackhawks Shop Free Shipping Wholesale Columbus Blue Jackets Jerseys Dallas Stars Shop Free Shipping Cheap Adidas Detroit Red Wings Jerseys Anaheim Ducks Jerseys China Wholesale Edmonton Oilers Jerseys Florida Panthers Shop Free Shipping Wholesale Los Angeles Kings Jerseys Minnesota Wild Outlet Store Cheap Adidas Nashville Predators Jerseys Cheap Adidas New York Islanders Jerseys New York Rangers Winter Classic Jerseys Cheap Adidas Ottawa Senators Jerseys Cheap Adidas Philadelphia Flyers Jerseys Wholesale Pittsburgh Penguins Jerseys Cheap Adidas San Jose Sharks Jerseys St. Louis Blues Winter Classic Jerseys Wholesale Tampa Bay Lightning Jerseys Toronto Maple Leafs Outlet Store Vancouver Canucks Outlet Store Cheap Adidas Vegas Golden Knights Jerseys Cheap Adidas Washington Capitals Jerseys Cheap Adidas Winnipeg Jets Jerseys ' ' '
