Each week, we will run down the top waiver wire pickups with a focus on the coming week and rest of the season. QUARTERBACKS Carson Palmer (vs Colts)Last week: 30/42, 419 yards, 2 TDsWinners of their last three and now tied for the final wild card spot in the NFC, the Cardinals are worth keeping an eye on. And a big reason for their recent success is Carson Palmer. During the teams modest three-game winning streak the veteran QB has thrown for 832 yards, six touchdowns and only two interceptions for an average of nearly 20 points per effort. Interceptions – long Palmers Achilles Heel – arent nearly as costly in fantasy football as they are in real football. Grab him and ride the hot streak. Mike Glennon (at Lions)Last week: 20/23, 231 yards, 2 TDsSpeaking of quarterbacks leading surprising win streaks... Glennon is getting some recognition now the Bucs are playing a little closer to their preseason expectations, but the rookie has put up decent numbers all season. Since taking over for Josh Freeman earlier this season, Glennon has averaged more than 200 yards and has thrown at least one TD in every start. Desperate fantasy owners could do worse. Matt McGloin (vs Titans)Last week: 18/32, 197 yards, 3 TDsVery few owners cashed in on McGloins historic debut for the Raiders in Week 11. Hes found a way to win with the odds against him at every level and while the odds of him throwing another three touchdowns against the Titans in Week 12 are small, Raiders coaches like him and think they can win with him. Youll hear all week that Terrelle Pryor could regain the starters role in Oakland; dont believe it, McGloin will be behind centre come Sunday. Others: Kellen Clemens (vs Bears), Geno Smith (at Ravens), Matt Cassel (at Packers) RUNNING BACKS Bobby Rainey (at Lions)Last week: 30 carries, 163 yards, 2 TDsNearly 10 percent more owners chose Brian Leonard over Bobby Rainey after Mike James was lost for the season in the Bucs backfield. Rainey had 26 more carries, nearly 150 more rushing yards, and two more touchdowns. Whoops! Rainey appears Tampa Bays clear choice to replace James who was of course replacing Doug Martin. With the Bucs playing better the past two weeks, Rainey is definitely worth the pickup. Chris Ogbonnaya (vs Steelers)Last week: 8 carries, 69 yards, 6 catches, 30 yardsAlthough Ogbonnaya received the most handoffs for the Browns in Week 11, Clevelands rushing situation is still an ineffective timeshare. But if you factor in Ogbonnayas use in the passing game, the former seventh-rounder has 34 catches for 237 yards on the year, he at least nears useless fantasy back status. Others: Montee Ball (at Patriots), Shonn Greene (at Raiders) WIDE RECEIVERS Brandon LaFell (at Dolphins)Last week: 7 catches, 59 yards, 1 TDLaFell has been regularly featured in this column this year in the ‘Others section, but a big performance in the Monday Night spotlight is more than enough to earn his own paragraph. With Cam Newton and the Panthers playing as good as any team in the NFC these days, LaFell is worth a shot. His 59 yards in Week 11 is about his average on the year, but hes a certainly a candidate for more touchdowns the final six games of the year. Jarrett Boykin (vs Vikings)Last week: 6 catches, 91 yardsBoykin could be a great waiver wire pick once Aaron Rodgers returns from injury, but hes proved the last two weeks hes a pretty good pickup regardless of who is throwing him the ball. In Scott Tolziens two starts in Green Bay, Boykin has averaged 100 yards receiving. He looks like Tolziens go-to target and should continue to rack up the yards; when Rodgers returns hell have a chance to rack up touchdowns as well. Rod Streater (vs Titans)Last week: 6 catches, 84 yards, 1 TDFor Streater to pay off Matt McGloin will have to continue to impress behind centre in Oakland. Streater wasnt worth a spot with Terrelle Pryor starting but he was McGloins favourite target in Week 11, scoring just his second touchdown of the season. If McGloin is even half as good as he looked in his starting debut, Streater could be worth a flyer by connection. Others: Ted Ginn Jr. (at Dolphins), Rishard Matthews (vs Panthers), Kenny Stills (at Falcons) TIGHT ENDS Garrett Graham (vs Jaguars)Last week: 7 catches, 136 yards, 1 TDGraham was hot pickup once starter Owen Daniels was lost for the season to injury but never really cashed in on his potential until last week against the Raiders. And by then many owners that picked him up had given up on him. The Texans are a mess but Graham could be worth a flyer if youre desperate at tight end. With Andre Johnson appearing unhappy in Houston, some of his targets could potentially find their way to Graham. Others: Rob Housler (vs Colts), Brandon Myers (vs Cowboys) Greg Monroe Jersey .Y. - Major League Soccers independent review panel has taken back the fine and one-game suspension it placed on Toronto FC forward Luke Moore earlier this week. Khris Middleton Jersey . The 26-year-old slider from Calgary posted a time of 50.464 seconds, 0.573 seconds back of leader Natalie Geisenberger. The German led the overall World Cup womens standings this season and continued her dominance by putting down a track record time of 49. http://www.nbabucksproshop.com/. The 49ers announced the deal Tuesday. San Francisco selected Lloyd in the fourth round of the 2003 draft. Mirza Teletovic Jersey . Ribery terrorized the Schalke defence throughout and put the home side ahead in the 36th minute when he chipped the goalkeeper before stroking the ball into the empty net. The French winger struck again after the interval, combining with Thomas Mueller on the left before firing a deflected shot beyond the helpless Timo Hildebrand in the 55th, as Bayern bounced back from Wednesdays 1-0 loss at FC Basel in the Champions League. Matthew Dellavedova Jersey . New York then missed its next six shots and scored only two points the rest of the night. The Los Angeles Clippers defence and the Knicks general ineptitude both played a role in the unsurprising finish to a meeting of two teams headed in opposite directions.ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. - Quarterback Kyle Orton keeps delivering in the clutch since taking over the starting job in Buffalo. And receiver Sammy Watkins is certainly showing signs of playing up to his dynamic first-round draft-pick promise for the Bills. The 10-year NFL journeyman and 21-year-old rookie combined for a 2-yard touchdown with 1 second left in a 17-16 victory over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.Any time you get a chance to go on a game-winning drive, its awesome, Orton said. We hung in there, made some mistakes, but in the end we got the win, and that was our goal.Facing second-and-goal, Orton accepted the shotgun snap and immediately turned to his left, where he zipped a pass to Watkins who was a few yards deep in the end zone and had a step on cornerback Xavier Rhodes. The touchdown capped a 15-play, 80-yard drive in a game the Bills offence turned the ball over four times and lost starting running backs C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson to injuries.Orton shook off an interception and a lost fumble to finish 31 of 43 for 283 yards and two touchdowns, both to Watkins who finished with nine catches for 122 yards. To make the last play to win the game in Buffalo, its the best feeling ever, said Watkins. The player selected with the No. 4 pick out of Clemson then smiled and referred to his teammates when asked about his rookie status, I never really feel like a rookie except when those guys make me feel like one.Orton, who signed with Buffalo a week before the start of the season, improved to 2-1 since replacing second-year starter EJ Manuel. He won his first start three weeks ago with a drive that set up Dan Carpenters 58-yard field goal with 4 seconds left in a 17-14 win at Detroit. The Bills (4-3) snapped a two-game home losing streak, and bounced back from a 37-22 loss to New England. The Vikings (2-5) lacked finish on both defence and behind the Teddy Bridgewater-led offence that managed one touchdown — Cordarrelle Pattersons 4-yard catch — and three field goals on five trips inside the Bills 40.There are no words that can describe this loss, defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd said. Its the last play of the game. Ive got nothing to say about that except it hurts. The Vikings had their opportunities, only to give Orton new life on the final drive that began with 3:07 left.Orton extended the drive by converting a fourth-and-20 with a 24-yard pass to tight end Scott Chandler over the middle.dddddddddddd. Three plays later, Orton hit Watkins on a crossing pattern for an 18-yard gain on third-and-12.And Orton set up the decisive score by threading a 28-yard pass to Chris Hogan at the 2 along the left sideline. That hurt. Everything hurt. The touchdowns, fourth-and-20, everything hurt, said defensive end Everson Griffen, who had three sacks. We want the victory. It feels better when you get a victory. The sacks dont mean nothing when you lose.Bridgewater went 15 of 26 for 157 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions in his third career start, and first on the road. Rookie running back Jerick McKinnon had 103 yards rushing.Ahead 13-10, the Vikings squandered a chance to build a 10-point lead early in the fourth quarter when Bridgewater faced a first-and-goal at Buffalos 7.They instead went backward after Bridgewater was sacked on consecutive plays. Minnesota settled for a 33-yard field goal. The Bills finished with five sacks and Leodis McKelvin had two interceptions. Not all the news was good for Buffalo.Coach Doug Marrone said Spiller is out indefinitely after hurting his left shoulder while falling hard to the turf following a 53-yard run in the second quarter. Spiller was in tears while being carted off the length of the field.Jacksons status is uncertain, too. He had his head in his hands while being carted from the sideline with a groin injury late in the first quarter. Marrone said the team is awaiting tests to determine the severity of Jacksons injury. The injuries depleted Buffalos backfield to third-string running back Anthony Dixon and fullback Frank Summers.Dixon finished with 51 yards rushing.NOTES: Vikings starting centre John Sullivan (concussion) and starting right guard Vladimir Ducasse (right knee) did not return after being hurt. Coach Mike Zimmer did not have an update on their status. ... The four turnovers by the Bills were their most since committing five (four interceptions and a fumble) in a 27-6 loss at Tampa Bay last Dec. 8. ...
