Corporan was designated for assignment on Tuesday after the Astros signed outfielder Colby Rasmus. Bostick was a second-round pick of the Rangers in 2013. The right-hander finished 5-6 with a 5.17 earned run average in 21 appearances (20 starts) at Single-A Hickory last season. Corporan batted .235 with six homers and 19 RBI in 55 games with the Astros last season. He has served as Houstons primary backup catcher since 2013.
