losing the third quarter by 19 points Antworten

(SportsNetwork. Nate Lowe Jersey .com) - The Toronto Blue Jays look to prolong the Boston Red Soxs recent slide when they open a three-game series tonight at Fenway Park. The Blue Jays start lefty J.A. Happ for the fourth time this season after hed opened on the disabled list and then went to the bullpen. He last started on Thursday and threw six innings of one-run ball in a 4-2 defeat of Cleveland. "Youre always (showing something) to somebody," Happ said. "I felt good, definitely nice to go out there and have a fairly strong outing." Happ has never started at Fenway Park, but hes faced the Red Sox four times and is 1-2 with a 5.06 ERA. Happ will be opposed by fellow southpaw Felix Doubront, who defeated Minnesota on Wednesday for his first victory since April 3. He gave up a single run in 6 1/3 innings against the Twins and has surrendered just two runs in 11 2/3 innings after a five-start skid that yielded no wins, three losses and an ERA near 6. Doubront faced the visiting Blue Jays twice in 2013 at Fenway and was 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA. On Sunday in Texas, Mitch Morelands two-run home run helped the Texas Rangers to a 6-2 win over the Blue Jays in the finale of a three-game set. Edwin Encarnacion and Juan Francisco hit solo homers for the Blue Jays. R.A. Dickey (4-4) lost for the first time in six starts as he was touched for four runs on three hits with three walks in 6 1/3 innings. "Were definitely going in the right direction but theres more there," Dickey said. "I think we all know it. Todays a game we probably should have won." The Red Sox enter the set having dropped four consecutive games, which already exceeds their longest losing streak of last season -- when they won a world championship under first-year manager John Farrell. Boston has sunk to fourth place in the five-team American League East Division, though its just three games behind the first-place New York Yankees and only a game out of third place, which is currently occupied by the Blue Jays. Toronto has won five of its last seven. The Red Sox have hit just .189 in the four-game slide and the starting pitchers have compiled an unsightly 5.73 earned run average across the last six games. They did score 16 runs in a three-game series with Toronto at Rogers Centre in late April, however, and will return to the road for 24 of the next 36 games after this series. Victor Martinez hit a two-run home run and the Detroit Tigers polished off a three-game sweep of the Red Sox with a 6-2 win. Xander Bogaerts finished 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Red Sox. Jake Peavy (1-2) allowed five runs on 11 hits over six innings. Boston took two of three from the Jays earlier in the year. Colin Poche Rays Jersey . Pressley missed all of last season with Cincinnati because of a knee injury, but the 5-foot-10, 249-pounder had been expected to fill a need on Clevelands roster. Nick Anderson Rays Jersey . Irving played 10 minutes Sunday night before going to the locker room. He had two points and four assists, missing all five of his shots. The All-Star game MVP is the top scorer among Eastern Conference point guards with 21. https://www.cheapraysonline.com/1146i-cole-sulser-jersey-rays.html . But last years runner-up Jarkko Nieminen crashed out despite winning the first set against Denis Istomin. Istomin fired 10 aces and won 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-2 to even his career record against Nieminen at 3-3.(SportsNetwork.com) - The Dallas Mavericks are sputtering a bit, but theyll try to get back on track Wednesday night when the New Orleans Pelicans visit American Airlines Center. The Mavs have lost two of three since a five-game winning streak. The first loss came at home to the Phoenix Suns, but on Tuesday, Dallas blew a 10-point lead en route to a 114-105 road loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Mavericks converted 18 3-pointers in the loss and were down in by a disastrous third quarter. The Grizzlies outscored the Mavs, 36-17, and never looked back. The third quarter was obviously our downfall in the game, head coach Rick Carlisle acknowledged. We did a poor job and it cost us. I like the way we hung in. We kept fighting. We actually had a shot to take the lead in the fourth, but losing the third quarter by 19 points was a killer. Chandler Parsons shot 6-of-10 from behind the arc and matched Memphis Marc Gasol with 30 points. Jameer Nelson finished with 18 points for Dallas, while J.J. Barea netted 17 off the bench. Dallas usually productive duo of Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis combined to shoot 5-of-28 from the field (17.9 percent) for 13 points. Ellis played through an elbow injury and made only one of his 11 attempts in a two-point effort. Weve got to see how hes doing tomorrow, Carlisle said of Ellis Tuesday night. Colin Poche Jersey. . Its just a very tough situation for him, so hopefully its more of a day-to-day thing and hopefully hes feeling a lot better tomorrow. But well have to wait and see. The Pelicans have taken two straight to get back to .500. On Sunday, New Orleans toppled the Los Angeles Lakers by 17 at the Staples Center, then came back home and secured a 104-93 victory over the New York Knicks at the Smoothie King Center on Tuesday. Tyreke Evans poured in 27 points and the Pelicans put together a strong fourth quarter to come away with the win over the Knicks. Evans netted eight points and Omer Asik had seven during a final period in which the Pelicans outscored New York by a 27-20 count to pull away and sent the Knicks to a ninth consecutive loss and 10th in a row on the road. Evans was really good at attacking the basket, Pelicans head coach Monty Williams said. Asik finished with 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Anthony Davis put up 18 points and eight boards in the win. Jrue Holiday added 13 in the win, which saw the Pelicans shoot 50 percent from the field. The Mavericks have beaten the Pelicans eight straight times, including a five- point win in New Orleans on Nov. 1. Dallas is 9-1 in its last 10 as the host in this series. ' ' '
